A Outline of the Novel'The Green Mile'.

King is most widely known for his horror stories, so as this outline of the novel The Green Mile shows, this book, set in the 1930s, is an exit from some of his other works.

It is articulated by the main personality, Paul, who is the captain of the jail guards who preside over E Block. The Green Mile of the title is the corridor between the cells of the cell block that leads to the execution room. The tale follows John Coffey, a huge, black inmate found guilty as charged of raping and murdering 2 young white girls, and the other 2 inmates on death row, together with the guards who watch over them. He also heals Pauls kidney infection, and later, Paul spirits him out of the jail to cure the wardens wifes brain cancer. Wetmore never recovers and spends the remainder of his life in a psychological establishment. He released this novel in 1996 as a serial novel, and the 1st edition really came out in 6 tiny, paperbacks, which were later on made into one novel. The tale occurs in 1932 on the E Block ( Death Row ) in Cold Mountain Jail in Georgia. It is expounded by the main personality, Paul, who is the captain of the jail guards who preside over E Block. The Green Mile of the title is the corridor between the cells of the cell block that leads to the execution room. Coffey doesn't want to be pardoned, and dies in the electrical chair as he can't bear the cruelties of real life.
